Cape Town Western Cape South Africa Wedding Cakes |
Whether you’re after something traditional, contemporary or thoroughly unique, I design cakes to suit all tastes and fantasies. I offer individual attention, expert advice and the freshest ingredients so that your cake is as pleasing to the palate as to the eyes.
The practice of serving wedding cake as dessert is very popular. This is partly due to the increasing popularity of chocolate, carrot and croquembouche wedding cakes. Miniature cakes can be a fun memento of your wedding day for friends and relatives. They are also a delicious gift for absent guests. A stack of cupcakes (in any flavor) on a decorated stand is also a popular alternative, and easy for guests to grab and snack on in between dances.
Ornaments atop your wedding cake are ever in style. You may opt for traditional bride and groom figurines or let me make a sugar modeled comical bridal couple. Ornaments, ribbons, cherubs, sculptures, fresh or sugar modeled flowers or fruit are all as popular as ever and very romantic.
I will personally deliver and set up your wedding cake to ensure its quality is not compromised.
I am a member of the South African Cake Decorators Guild, and winner of many gold awards and trophies in competitions. One such highlight was the Best on Show award for my entry in the Master Class category of the Cake Decorators competition at the Orchid show held at the CTICC. I am a regular contributor to Fair Lady, Sarie Bruide and True Love Bride magazines.
You are welcome to contact me for a personalized consulting and planning session to create your uniquely designed cake and to view my whole portfolio.
